Sony's new flagship HT-A7000 soundbar, which was unveiled in July, is now available in the US, Europe and elsewhere. It supports optional rear speakers and subwoofer.
Expandable flagship soundbar
Sony's popular HT-ST5000 finally has a successor in the form of the new 7.1.2-channel HT-A7000. Sony will also soon launch a new product category with HT-A9, which consists of four compact speakers.
Both new flagship TV audio products are designed to take advantage of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for a more immersive sound experience at home. And unlike its predecessor (ST5000), HT-A7000 can be expanded through optional rear speakers and subwoofer – at the time of purchase or later.

HT-A7000 can be seen as an alternative to other premium Dolby Atmos soundbars such as LG SP11RA, Samsung HW-Q960A, Sennheiser Ambeo, and Sonos Arc.
Sony HT-A7000 can be expanded with rear speakers and subwoofer
High-end 2021 Sony TVs can be used as a center channel with HT-A7000, but the new soundbar is of course compatible with any TV from any brand. It is equipped with two HDMI inputs and HDMI eARC for TV connection as well as AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Chromecast and Spotify Connect for music. Sony had planned to launch its new TV audio products in September but they got delayed. HT-A7000 is available now while HT-A9 is expected to arrive in late October or November.
