F1 TV, the Formula 1 streaming service, is finally available as an app for Apple TV to let you subscribe and livestream Formula 1 races in 1080p50.

The official Formula 1 streaming service was launched in 2018 but only on the small screens. Three years later, F1 TV is now finally available on the big screen.
Without fanfare, F1 TV has launched an app for Apple TV (tvOS) to let you livestream Formula 1 races as well as F2, F3, and Porsche Supercup. Subscribers have access to replays, highlights, talkshows, and other shows – more than 2000 hours of video.
The Apple TV app also supports features like onboard camera switching and live team radio.

Earlier this year, F1 TV upgraded its streaming quality to 1080p at 50fps for smoother video. Around the same time, the service added support for AirPlay and Chromecast. You can watch on six devices at once.
F1 TV will be available on Android TV and Amazon FireTV later this year, according to the company.
An F1 TV Pro subscription is required for live-streaming. The full, ad-free service is available in 85 territories for $80 / €110 per year or $10 / €14 per month. More information can be found on formula1.com
