In addition to the Alexa smart home features, Amazon's first Fire TVs (Omni and 4-Series) will also support Apple's AirPlay 2 and HomeKit features as well as Zoom.
Apple features in Amazon TVs
In September, Amazon unveiled its first TVs and just as the TVs were about to go on sale yesterday Amazon announced that it will "soon" bring additional features to both the Omni and 4-Series series of 4K LCD TVs.
- "Coming soon, you can use AirPlay to share videos, photos, music, and more from your iPhone or iPad to your Fire TV," Amazon announced with reference to the new Omni and 4-Series Fire TVs.
There was no mention of Apple HomeKit but The Verge is reporting that Amazon is planning to add support "soon" to let you control the new Amazon TVs through Siri voice commands on other devices or the Home app on iOS devices.
Amazon added that it is planning to add support for Zoom video calling too.

Amazon Fire TV Omni
The new Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Amazon's other Fire TV peripherals do not support AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.
Amazon's Fire TV Omni and 4-Series models are available now in the US from amazon.com.
- "Today we launched our first ever Amazon-built smart TVs. These TVs combine our content-forward Fire TV experience with everything you know and love about Alexa, turning your TV into the smart hub in your living room," the company said.
