French music streaming service Qobuz has launched its first TV app on Samsung Smart TVs in the 18 markets where the service is available.
Qobuz on Samsung Smart TV
If you own a recent Samsung Smart TV, you now have the option between Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Qobuz.
- "Smart TV apps are frequently requested by our subscribers so it only makes sense to develop for the biggest first. It’s exciting to know that our service will get in front of so many music fans and all the potential customers in the Samsung ecosystem," said Georges Fornay, Deputy CEO of Qobuz.

Qobuz has branded itself as a high-quality streaming and download platform for music, with Hi-Res options up to 24-bit and 192 kHz. It did not confirm if Hi-Res music streaming is supported on Samsung Smart TVs. There are no details about supported generations of Samsung Smart TVs either.
Qobuz is available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
As part of the partnership, owners of Samsung TVs will also see Qobuz advertised in the app store.
- "In addition, the Galaxy Store will be featuring the Qobuz app as an Editor’s Choice within the smart TV App Store, putting it front-and-centre this month."
There is a one-month free trial.
