Later this year, LG Electronics will launch its first OLED gaming monitor under the UltraGear branding. The 48-inch LG 48GQ900 will feature 4K, HDR, anti-reflective coating, DisplayPort, and HDMI 2.1.

Like LG OLED TVs, the upcoming 48-inch OLED monitor will be based on LG Display's WOLED panel with 4K resolution and 10-bit. Unlike LG TVs, it will have AGLR (anti-glare low reflection) and DisplayPort in addition to HDMI 2.1.
The 48-inch OLED monitor will be called 48GQ900 and is designed for PC and console gaming in up to 4K 120Hz (possibly even 138Hz, although this remains unconfirmed). The monitor supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) with PCs and game consoles such as the Xbox Series X.

It has a 'borderless' design with LG's UltraGear branding and purple light elements on the back. It also features built-in speakers.
OLED panels are much faster than any LCD panel so gamers can enjoy ultra-fast 1ms response time (G-to-G), true black and high contrast, pixel-level luminance (so no halo effect) and color control, and 98.5% DCI-P3 color coverage for HDR content.
Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI have also launched or announced OLED gaming monitors based on LG Display's WOLED panel. Dell Alienware and Samsung are planning to launch the first QD-OLED gaming monitors later this year, based on Samsung Display's QD-OLED panel.
LG 48GQ900 will launch in the second half of 2022. Pricing, exact availability details and full specifications will be announced later.
