Comcast customers with an Xfinity X1 or Xfinity Flex set-top box or XClass TV can now stream Apple TV+ shows. There is a three-month free trial.
Apple TV+ on Comcast
After launching Apple TV+ on Comcast's Sky platform (Sky Q and Sky Glass devices) in the UK and Europe in December 2021, Apple and Comcast have begun the roll-out in the US.
Starting today, Apple TV+ is rolling out on the Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex and XClass TVs. The app is expected to reach all compatible devices in the coming days.
- "With the launch of Apple TV+, our customers now have access to all of today’s most popular streaming services through our aggregated user experience and award-winning voice technology," said Sam Schwartz, Chief Business Development Officer, Comcast. "By leveraging our global technology platform, our partners can distribute apps on one tech stack to reach tens of millions of viewers."

Non-Apple TV+ customers are eligible for a three-month free trial if they sign up by April 25, said Comcast. In addition, Apple will offer Xfinity customers a free preview of some of its most popular Apple TV+ series and movies from March 15 through March 21. This includes Greyhound.
- "Our work with Comcast lights up that experience for tens of millions of new devices, and we are thrilled that so many Comcast customers have a compelling way to enjoy their new favorite shows on Apple TV+," said Peter Stern, Apple’s Vice President of Services.
The companies did not comment on compatibility for 4K, HDR and Dolby Atmos.
The Apple TV+ streaming service is also available on the Apple TV box, Android TV and Google TV, Amazon FireTV, LG Smart TVs, Samsung Smart TVs, Roku, PlayStation, Xbox, and other platforms.
Apple TV+ has a free 7-day trial after which it costs $5 per month
