Samsung's flagship 4K LCD TV (QN95B) is coming to the US this year

25 Mar 2022 | Rasmus Larsen |

Samsung's flagship 4K LCD TV has historically been reserved for Europe but in 2022 the company will bring it in the US too. QN95B will launch in May.

QN95B in the US

Samsung QN95B features an LCD panel with miniLED local dimming and 4K resolution. The miniLED backlight comes with a couple of new tweaks this year as discussed in our hands-on article. Samsung confirmed to FlatpanelsHD that QN95B is coming to North America this year. What sets QN95B apart from QN90B is a slightly more capable video processor (Neural vs. Neo), a slightly powerful speaker system (70W vs. 60W), and of course the external connector box (One Connect) and a more premium design (Infinity One Design). Samsung US did explicitly confirm if the US version features the One Connect box but we would be surprised if it doesn't – we are chasing confirmation.

The panel can refresh at up to 144Hz with a PC or 120Hz with a game console. However, note that the miniLED local dimming system gets reduced to a much less capable form in the TV's Game and VRR modes. Samsung QN95B will be available for pre-order in the US on May 23.
