Sennheiser is rolling out a major software update for its Ambeo soundbar that adds AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect as part of Ambeo OS.

Sennheiser is currently selling a high-end soundbar for $2500 that we tested in 2019. The company has confirmed that new more affordable soundbars will launch later this year, and clearly work on the Ambeo soundbar line-up is ongoing.
Sennheiser has announced that a major software update will introduce a new operating system, Ambeo OS. It adds support for Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect.

Ambeo OS can be accessed through a rebuilt smartphone app called Smart Control that also controls the company's headphones. The app comes with new settings and customizations options. In addition, there is a new web interface that can be accessed from a browser.

The free Ambeo OS software update is rolling out this week to all owners of the Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar.
