The Sonos 'Fury' soundbar will be even more compact than the Sonos Beam and considerably cheaper at $249, according to a report by The Verge.
The Verge claims to have seen genuine photos and specifications, and has created the following renders based on the information. The soundbar is codenamed 'Fury' and is also known as model S36. It will expand Sonos' current line-up of soundbars from two (Arc, Beam) to three.
The Sonos 'Fury' is reportedly as heigh and deep as the Beam but even more compact in width (550mm vs. 651mm) as it contains fewer drives. It will omit features like Dolby Atmos and built-in microphones, and even the HDMI port may be sacrifized leaving only optical.

Vertical surround speaker
An interesting detail is that 'Fury' can be used vertically as a rear surround speakers together with Sonos Arc as the main soundbar. The slightly angled drivers could serve as Dolby Atmos height channels – something that Sonos One cannot do.
The report claims that it is expected to cost $249 to compete directly with budget soundbars from Vizio, LG, Samsung and others. Sonos's Beam and Arc soundbars cost $449 and $899, respectively. It will be available in both black and white on June 7.
The next official Sonos event is scheduled for May 25.
