Disney+ has released the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi a few hours earlier than planned. It also announced release dates and trailers for other Star Wars shows.
Star Wars is now a Disney+ thing, it seems. After the box office flop of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Disney shifted its focus to creating serialized shows such as The Mandalorian.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is the next chapter and the first two episodes are now available on Disney+ to stream in 4K Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. New episodes will debut weekly.
More Star Wars shows
At this week's Star Wars convention, Disney confirmed that The Mandalorian season 3 will debut in February 2023. On Disney+, of course.
Before that happens, you can watch Andor which premieres on August 31, 2022. It is a spin-off with Cassian Andor from the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story theatrical movie. The first season will comprise 12 episodes. Watch the trailer below.
In addition, the company announced that Star Wars series Ahsoka and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will both debut in 2023.
The Andor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception, and intrigue, where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
