After introducing enhanced parental controls, Disney+ is now adding its first R-rated movies in the US; Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Logan.
Starting today July 22, subscribers in the US can join Europeans and Disney+ users in other countries in streaming mature R-rated content on Disney+. In the US, Disney previously reserved R-rated content for Hulu and set PG-13 as the highest rating for Disney+.
The first three R-rated movies are Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Logan from 20th Century Fox, or 20th Century Studio after Disney's acquired the film studio.

Logan is one of the first R-rated movies on Disney+ US
Disney+ also recently added the Netflix co-produced Marvel adult series Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, Iron Fist and The Defenders.
To watch R-rated content on Disney+ you must change your parental control settings for each user profile. Kids profiles are set to only have access to kids-friendly content by default. Users can also add a PIN to lock adult profiles.
- "Subscribers are invited to revisit their parental controls settings to ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family," the company said.
