Google has finally made its Nest cameras compatible with Chromecast with Google TV to let you see live video from inside or outside of your home.
The new feature lets you quickly see a live view of your Nets cameras on any TV connected to the Chromecast with Google TV device. It is unclear if it is going to work on other Google TV devices such as Sony and TCL TVs.
- "Keeping an eye on the activity around your home just got even easier– so easy that you don’t have to take your eyes off your TV. Starting this week, you will be able to watch the video feed from all of your Nest Cams and Nest Doorbells using Chromecast with Google TV," announced Google Nest.

Chromecast + Nest: How it works
- Chromecast Voice Remote: Simply use your voice remote to say which device you want to stream the live feed from. For example, just say “show me the front door camera” to see your doorbell feed.
- Other Google Assistant-enabled devices: Use your Nest speaker or display and say, “Hey Google, show me the front door camera on my TV” |
