The 2022 LCD TV models from Philips are now available in the UK, Germany and other parts of Europe. New features include a Game bar, Android 11 and HDMI 2.1 in "The One".
Philips' new LCD TVs are available now ranging from 43 to 86 inches. Later this year, the company will launch a new miniLED LCD model (PML9507) as well as new OLED models.
The most affordable models (PUS7607 and lower) run Saphi, which offers a selection of apps, whereas the more expensive models run Android TV, which offers access to most popular local and international apps.
In addition, Android TV features built-in Chromecast, Stadia, and Google Assistant. The 2022 Android TVs will launch on Android 11 – with additional updates planned for later.

HDMI 2.1 and Game Bar
You get Ambilight mood lighting starting from PUS8007, Philips' P5 video engine starting from PUS8507, and HDMI 2.1 starting from PUS8807. HDMI 2.1 features such as 4K120 and VRR can elevate the PS5 and Xbox Series X gaming experience.

Console owners may also find Philips' new Game Bar useful. It provides access to gaming features in the TV as well as relevant information on the incoming video signal from the console or PC, i.e. resolution and frame rate.

The new LCD models are mainly entry-level and mid-range TVs meant to compete with LG, Samsung, Sony, TCL and a growing number of Android TV manufacturers. Only Philips offers Ambilight, which according to the company has the highest loyalty rate of any single TV feature.
