Owners of recent LG webOS LCD and OLED TVs in 22 countries where Google's game streaming service Stadia is available can now get 3 free months of access to Stadia Pro.
Google is trying to breathe life into its struggling cloud gaming service, Stadia, through a new promotion with LG.
The Stadia app launched last year on LG TVs running webOS 5.0 or later (from 2020 or later) and the two companies have now partnered to give LG TV owners a taste of cloud gaming.
- "LG TV owners who claim their free Stadia Pro subscription gain instant access to more than fifty games, with new titles added every month and unique discounts on games and add-on content regularly offered," said LG. "The Stadia store also features over 250 popular games available to buy, including Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil Village, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Hitman 3, Baldur’s Gate 3 as well as access to a growing list of free games and demos, all playable with just a compatible controller, no game downloads or installs required."

In 22 countries
The free 3-month Stadia Pro offer is found within the app store on compatible LG TVs. It is available to new Stadia Pro subscribers and a valid payment method must be entered upon sign up as the subscription is automatically renewed for the fourth month, unless cancelled.
The offer is available in 22 countries where Stadia is available: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary.
LG TVs support Stadia game streaming in up to 4K HDR with 60fps and 5.1 surround sound. Compatible controllers include the Stadia Controller, DualShock, and Xbox controllers.
The deadline to redeem the offer is January 31, 2023, in the US, but varies by market, the companies said.
LG TVs also offer Nvidia's GeForce Now app but not yet the Xbox app.
