Ahead of the annual IFA show in Berlin, the EISA committee has announced its winners for 2022-23. Sony A95K wins best premium OLED TV while Philips OLED807 wins best buy OLED.
As per tradition EISA has removed some categories and introduced new ones. 'Best 8K TV' is gone, replaced by several new TV categories – eight in total, which seems excessive. TV brands must participate to be taken into consideration, we hear from industry members.
Despite the eight TV categories, Samsung did not get any awards. The 'Best Mini LED TV' – or miniLED LCD TV – award went to TCL's C835 despite TCL offering a more advanced C935 model. Samsung refers to miniLED LCD as "Neo QLED".

Sony took home the win in 'Premium OLED TV' with its A95K QD-OLED TVs ahead of Samsung's S95B QD-OLED TV, while LG's C2 OLED TV was recognized as the best gaming TV. There were no awards for Panasonic either.
Philips takes home three TV awards including 'Best Buy OLED TV' and best 'Home Theatre TV'.
