Roku TVs from TCL and Metz are coming to Germany

01 Sep 2022 | Rasmus Larsen |

In partnership with global brand TCL and local brand Metz, Roku is expanding its footprint in Germany with the launch of TVs that come pre-installed with the Roku OS.

Germans will soon have another alternative to Android TV, FireTV, Tizen, webOS and My Home Screen in Smart TVs. Roku TVs have built-in tuners and provide access to local and international streaming apps such as Amazon, Apple TV, Disney+ and Netflix.

- "Today Roku announced the arrival of Roku TV in Germany, with Metz blue and TCL as the first partners to launch Roku TV models. The launch follows Roku’s entry into the market last year with its streaming players and underlines Roku’s commitment to the German consumer," Roku announced at IFA 2022.

Roku has customized the tuner and the live TV functionality for the German market, enabling consumers to connect to satellite, cable, or an antenna for live TV. Consumers in Germany can buy Roku TVs from Metz and TCL in sizes ranging from 32 to 65 inches with HD or 4K resolution starting in October.
