The update addresses at least 16 bugs and adds a new HDMI CEC function to wake Shield when the TV input changes to its HDMI port.
Earlier this year, Nvidia released Android 11 for Shield TV which brought new features to the box but also a plethora of bugs and reduced performance.
The latest hotfix (9.1.1) is intended to stamp out some of these bugs including the bug that caused a TV remote to be unresponsive. In addition, the update adds a couple of new features.
The update is available for all versions of the Shield box. Here's what's new:
