Samsung has finally agreed to provide Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, and Utomik apps on 2021 models, after initially only offering those apps on 2022 models.
Update: Now also rolling out in Europe.
The four game streaming apps are rolling out now in the Americas and Asia, and will reach European countries by the end of the year, according to the company.
- "2021 Samsung Smart TV game streaming is officially rolling out! Check for the latest firmware update on your 2021 Samsung Smart TV, connect your favorite controller, and start playing from our amazing lineup of game streaming services," said Samsung Gaming.
The Amazon Luna and Xbox apps are TV-exclusive to Samsung TVs at this time, and Nvidia GeForce Now was recently updated to support 4K60 game streaming in SDR.

No console required, but
No console is required but you should still connect one if you want the best picture/Audio quality and stability. Only Xbox consoles, for example, support HDR and Dolby Atmos. The Xbox app supports streaming in up to 1080p60.
To get started make sure that your 2021 Samsung TV is updated to the latest firmware (ver. 2111.1) and connect a compatible wired or Bluetooth controller such as the Xbox Series controller, Xbox One controller, PlayStation DualShock4, DualSense, Amazon Luna controller or Nvidia Shield controller.
There are no plans to bring the game streaming services to older Samsung Smart TVs that are perfectly capable of streaming games.
Antstream and Blacknut game streaming apps will be added next year to 2021 and 2022 Samsung TVs.
