Chinese company Konka is bringing 55- and 65-inch OLED TVs to Europe to compete with LG, Panasonic, Philips, Sony and others in the high-end segment of the TV market.

With over 3,000 units in sizes of 55 and 65 inches arriving on the continent, Konka is ready to provide customers across the region with a truly immersive cinema-like home viewing experience," announced Konka.
The company has partnered with an unnamed OEM company for its entry into Europe. It says that it has "no desire to compete on price with competitors". On the face of it sounds like an odd statement from a newcomer trying to challenge established TV brands but Konka is a major TV maker in China.

The 812 series TVs use an LG Display WOLED panel. They are described as "ultra-slim" with "cinema-grade panoramic sound".
No further details about the OLED TVs were provided and it is not clear which countries they will be available in and at what price.
- "Positioning Europe as a key market, Konka is looking to grow in the market with plans to form a full-scale product layout on the continent," the company added.
