In addition to the Bar 300, 500, 700 and 1000, JBL will soon offer the 11.1.4-channel Bar 1300X (1300 in Europe) for $1700 / €1400.
With 15 surround channels for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, a wireless 12-inch subwoofer, and six up-firing drives, Bar 1300 is JBL's most powerful soundbar for TVs.
Like previous JBL soundbars, it comes with detachable wireless surround speakers that run on batteries. The batteries charge whenever the rear speakers are not in use and are docked to the soundbar unit. It also features AirPlay 2, Alexa and Chromecast.

The JBL Bar 1300 falls in the same class as LG, Samsung and Sony's most premium soundbars that also include rear speakers and a wireless subwoofer. Over the last few years, companies have greatly expanded the number of audio channels with up-firing and side-firing units to improve the Dolby Atmos and DTS:X experience at home.
To fully enjoy the soundbar's capabilities you therefore need content in Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, for instance UHD Blu-ray and streaming movie or Xbox console games.
JBL Bar 1300 will be available starting February in Europe, North America and other regions for $1700 / £1300 / €1400.
