At CES 2023, Google provided an update on the Android TV and Google TV ecosystem saying that there are now over 150 million monthly active devices – up 40 million in 1 year.

Google reported 80 million monthly active devices in May 2021 and 110 million in January 2022 – an increase of 30 million in 8 months. At 150 million as of January 2023, the search giant's TV ecosystem has grown by 40 million devices in the last 12 months.

- "There are more than 150 million monthly active Android TV OS devices to make it easy to use your phone as a remote watch movies and shows on the big screen," said Google referring to the Google TV mobile app.

To be clear, this does not translate to 150 million households or user accounts as some households have more than one Android TV or Google TV devices.
