Roku launches its own TVs: Specifications and pricing

There are new HD and 4K LCD TVs, some with full array local dimming, WiFi 6 and Dolby Vision and Atmos. The TVs are now available in sizes ranging from 24 to 75 inches in the US. At CES 2023 in January, Roku announced a plan to launch its own TVs. Here they are. The first Roku-made TVs will be available alongside Roku TVs from other brands.

"A smart TV made by Roku just makes sense. When we combine our streaming leadership with our hardware expertise, it progresses the overarching ambition to innovate across the TV experience, benefiting all streamers with a Roku TV." There are two TV ranges called 'Select' and 'Plus', and they both use LCD display technology. The 'Plus' range adds quantum dots and full array local dimming. The number of dimming zones was not disclosed. Here are the most important specifications:

Roku's Plus models support HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision but these are not the TVs you should buy for spectacular HDR pictures. They also support Dolby Atmos audio and HDMI eARC. Audio is expandable with Roku's wireless speakers for up to 4.1 surround sound. They also support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth. Roku Select and Plus Series TVs are now available in the US exclusively at Best Buy with HD and 4K models ranging 24 to 75 inches.
