Ahead of its European launch event for 2023, TCL has unveiled the C645 (or C64) which is a range of 43 to 85 inch LCD TVs with 4K resolution and '120Hz Game Accelerator'.
TCL's C645 range will be available in 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches (43C645, 50C645, 55C645, 65C645, 75C645, 85C645) as the successor to last year's mid-range C635. It features a 60Hz LCD panel with a quantum dot film for improved color.

It is a Google TV meaning that you have access to Google's full TV app store including apps such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, and Netflix. It also features built-in Chromecast.

C645 supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision (and delivers up to 450 nits), but you should pick one of the advanced models if you want to best possible HDR picture experience. TCL Europe will unveil more premium models later this month and FlatpanelsHD will on-spot.

120Hz gaming at half resolution
A new technology that is finding its way to some 50/60Hz LCD TVs is DLD (Dual Line Gate). The technology enables TVs to receive a 120Hz input signal and display it at half resolution (1080p). This enables you to run, for example, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X games at 120fps.
TCL refers to it as '120Hz Game Accelerator' and it is supported on the 55, 65, 75 and 85-inch models only.
In addition, C645 supports other gaming features such as AMD FreeSync VRR, a Dolby Vision-optimized picture mode, and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) that automatically switches to the TV's Game mode with a compatible game console.
TCL C645 will be available soon in Europe. Prices were not announced.
