If you seek linear channels, Google TV now offers more than 800 free channels with ads in the US. They can be accessed from Google TV's 'Live' tab.
Google has integrated free channels from Tubi, Plex and Haystack News, alongside the existing line-up from Pluto TV, directly into the 'Live' tab on all Google TV devices.
- "Today, we’re introducing a new live TV experience that lets you browse more than 800 free TV channels across multiple providers, organized in one easy-to-use guide right in the Live tab," announced Nick Staubach, Product Manager at Google.
Channels include NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX as well as channels in 10 languages from around the world. There are movie channels, too. Channels can be pinned to "Favorites" at the top of the live guide.
Google TV's Live tab also integrates premium live subscriptions from YouTube TV and Sling TV in the US.

Coming to some Android TVs, too
In addition to all Google TV devices, Google said that the live TV integration is coming later to "eligible" Android TV devices", whatever those are.
- "The new live TV experience will be available on all Google TV devices in the U.S., including Chromecast with Google TV and TVs with Google TV built-in from Sony, TCL, Hisense and Philips. We also plan to bring the new TV guide and free channels to eligible Android TV devices later this year," said Nick Staubach.
Android TV devices include devices such as older TV models and Nvidia Shield.
