NASA+ will launch soon as a free streaming service on Apple TV, FireTV, Roku

Later this year, NASA will launch a free streaming service without ads to let viewers stream live coverage of missions as well as original video series.

The streaming service will launch soon as an app for Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, iOS and Android mobile devices. It will also be available on the web.

- "We’re putting space on demand and at your fingertips with NASA’s new streaming platform," said Marc Etkind, associate administrator, Office of Communications, NASA Headquarters. "Transforming our digital presence will help us better tell the stories of how NASA explores the unknown in air and space, inspires through discovery, and innovates for the benefit of humanity."


Free without ads
The streaming service that will be known as NASA+ will be free without ads. It is described as family-friendly.

NASA+ will provide access to the agency’s live coverage and views into NASA’s missions through collections of original video series, including a handful of new series launching with the streaming service.

In addition, the agency has launched a new science website that you can preview in beta here: beta.nasa.gov
