The FIFA+ app with access to select live matches, interviews, highlights and match replays is expanding to additional TV platforms and five FAST channel platforms.

After having launched on Hisense's Vidaa platform in mid-2022 and Android TV / Google TV in late 2022, the FIFA+ app has landed on three additional major Smart TV platforms. There is still no app available for Apple TV.

In addition, a FIFA+ channel is now available on five so-called FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) platforms including The Roku Channel. - "FIFA has announced a ground-breaking expansion of FIFA+ as it becomes available on five new connected TV apps: Samsung TV, LG, VIDAA, Amazon Fire, and Android TV, and five new FAST channel platforms: Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, VIDAA Channels, The Roku Channel and Rakuten TV," announced FIFA.

Live matches

In addition to archived content, select live matches are available through the FIFA+ app, depending on your region. For example, live broadcasts of the Women's World Cup 2023 are available in 50 countries including Brazil, Japan and The Netherlands. - "Our goal is to connect fans from every corner of the world and provide them with unrivalled access to the sport they love. This expansion is a significant step towards achieving that vision and bringing the beautiful game to everyone. Every innovation we make is rooted in growing the game, and we want to thank all the CTV and FAST platforms for their support in making this happen," said Charlotte Burr, FIFA’s Director of Strategy, Digital and FIFA+. "FIFA is committed to using digital platforms to create an inclusive and immersive football experience for all." The organization said that more than 211 million unique users opened the app during the World Cup Qatar 2022. There were 190 million views of match recaps.
