Samsung and the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí have reached an agreement to bring 12 surrealist paintings to Samsung The Frame.
Samsung continues to bring digitized versions of renowned artworks to The Frame.
The Frame is a standard LCD TV with 4K resolution and a matte coating in the 2022 and 2023 editions, but what makes it special is that it doubles as a digital photo frame when not in use.
Most recently, Samsung brought the UK's 'The Royal Dog Art' collection to The Frame and before that artworks from Etsy, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh.
Salvador Dali in The Frame
The company is now bringing surrealist paintings from Salvador Dalí to The Frame.
- "This partnership with Samsung gives the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí a global stage for sharing Dalí’s dynamic masterpieces and legacy with an entirely new, digitally native generation," said Andrea Fisher-Scherer, Managing Director of Merchandise Licensing at Artists Rights Society, the organization that helped secure an agreement between Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and Samsung. "These pieces, selected especially in partnership with Samsung Art Store, allow us to show off Dalí’s most striking masterpieces and the stunning display The Frame is capable of."

The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dalí
Samsung said that the Dalí artworks are available in the Art Store worldwide. In the US, a subscription to The Frame's art store costs $5/month or $50/year.
Featured works by Dalí include pieces such as "The Persistence of Memory" (1931), "The Temptation of St. Anthony" (1946) and "Swans Reflecting Elephants" (1937). A total of 12 paintings will be available.
Other TV manufacturers including LG are also trying to bring art pieces to their TVs but at this time only Samsung offers masterpieces from the biggest artists.
