Philips is introducing its first 42-inch OLED TV as part of the 808 range. The company is also transitioning from Android TV to Google TV while replacing the chip powering Google TV to MediaTek's Pentonic 1000.
OLED808 and OLED708 will also be known as OLED818 and OLED718.

Available now
Philips OLED708 and OLED808 are available now in Europe, produced by TP Vision. The Philips TV brand is licensed to a different partner in North America so these models will not make it to the other side of the Atlantic.
The 708 can be seen as an alternative to LG's B3 series while the 808 competes with the LG C3, Sony A80L and Panasonic MZ980.
