LG Display has confirmed that 32-inch, 34-inch and 39-inch OLEDs will soon join its line-up of panels. It will also start production of 30-inch and 77-inch transparent OLED panels.
In addition to the existing 27-inch (16:9) and 45-inch (21:9) OLED monitor panels, LG Display will start production of a 32-inch 16:9 OLED monitor panel as well as 34-inch and 39-inch 21:9 OLED monitor panels.
Samsung Display is currently mass-producing a 34-inch QD-OLED panel so in the near future consumers will have the choice between QD-OLED and WOLED.
The 32-inch 16:9 panel could potentially double as an OLED TV.

Product announcements at CES or IFA?
The expanded line-up was announced by LG Display's Managing Director Yeo Jun-ho at the K-Display Business Forum held at COEX in Seoul last week, and reported by Korean newspaper The Elec.
LG Display, which supplies WOLED panels to LG Electronics, Acer, Asus, BenQ, Philips, Sony, Panasonic and other brands, did not say when it plans to start mass production of the new OLED sizes but we think it is reasonable to expect consumer product announcements at CES 2024 in January – perhaps as early next week at IFA 2023, if we are lucky.
Earlier this month, Dough (formerly Eve) unveiled the first 32-inch OLED monitor built on LG Display's upcoming WOLED panel. However, we do not expect Dough's to be the first 32-inch OLED on the market.
A leaked roadmap in April mentioned the new sizes (plus others) so it is good to see LG Display confirm the plans.
30–77" transparent OLEDs
In addition, LG Display confirmed that it plans to add 30-inch and 77-inch sizes to form a line-up of transparent OLED panels. The 77-inch will go into mass-production at the end of 2023.
- "We expect that if 30 inches and 77 inches come out, there will be conditions to use transparent displays not only in commercial but also in general home environments. We have increased the transparent OLED transmittance rate from the previous 40% to 45% this year, and we plan to increase it further in the future," said LG Display Managing Director Yeo Jun-ho, according to The Elec.
- "In the case of expanding OLED solutions, we've been thinking mainly about TVs in the past, but now we're thinking about medium and transparent OLEDs in line with lifestyle changes," he added.
