LG Channels 3.0, which ranks among the top-5 most used apps on LG Smart TVs, is getting a redesign and new features.
Like Samsung's TV Plus and The Roku Channel, LG offers access to free ad-supported streaming content in 27 countries through the 'Channels' app on its Smart TVs.
LG is prominently featuring the free content within the webOS user interface, alongside popular streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube. The company claims that LG Channels has consistently ranked among the top-5 most accessed apps on LG Smart TVs in all regions where the service is available.
People like free stuff, we guess.
