Dell Alienware unveils world's first 27" 360Hz and 32" 4K QD-OLED monitors

Dell Alienware has unveiled two new monitors that will be available in January 2024; a 32-inch QD-OLED with 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate plus a 27-inch 360Hz QD-OLED.

Earlier in October, details on MSI's plans for 2024 leaked, revealing the first 32-inch 4K 240Hz QD-OLED panel and the first 27-inch 360Hz QD-OLED panel.

At the time, there were still a number of unanswered questions but Dell's pre-announcement at TwitchCon 2023 has confirmed more details on the 2024 QD-OLED panels and the upcoming Alienware monitors.


2024 QD-OLED monitors
Dell said that both Alienware QD-OLED monitors will be available in early January 2024 so we expect them to launch at CES 2024. It also means that Samsung Display has most likely already started production of the 2024 QD-OLED panels.

Here are the details on the two upcoming Dell Alienware QD-OLED monitors:
32" Alienware AW3225QF: Curved QD-OLED with 4K resolution (3840x2160), 240Hz refresh rate, and 3-year OLED burn-in warranty
27" Alienware AW2725DF: Flat QD-OLED with QHD (2560x1440) resolution, 360Hz refresh rate, and 3-year OLED burn-in warranty

World's first
These will be the world's first 360Hz QD-OLED and 4K QD-OLED monitors together with MSI's upcoming monitors and Asus' upcoming 32-inch 4K QD-OLED. They are all designed for gaming.

Due to OLED's extremely fast response time, a 360Hz OLED panel is expected to equate or exceed a 500Hz LCD panel, while still delivering deep blacks, extremely high contrast and high peak brightness for HDR gaming. Additional details will be revealed later.
