Just like Pixar and Marvel, Hulu is now a tile inside the Disney+ app in the US. The beta version is rolling out now ahead of the official launch in the spring.
As announced earlier, Hulu is being folded into Disney+ for bundle subscribers, providing a more streamlined one-app experience for subscribers to both services.
- "There are a few reasons why we think this is going to be an exciting new experience for our subscribers," explained Joe Earley, Disney Entertainment’s President of Direct-to-Consumer. "Even before the launch of Disney+, research was very clear that consumers want ‘kid time,’ ‘we time,’ and ‘me time.’ I want incredible stuff for my kids, I want to watch things as a family, and then I want to put the kids to bed and watch things that are more adult in nature."

Disney encourages subscribers to familiarize themselves with the parental controls to ensure that the Hulu hub remains unavailable to young children using the Disney+ app.
The standalone Hulu app will remain available separately for the time being, for subscribers to Hulu or bundle subscribers who prefer to continue using two apps.
Outside the US, Disney+ already features a 'Star' tile that includes content from 20th Century Studios, Hulu, FX, and more.
Missing features and titles
The new combined Disney+ and Hulu experience is rolling out this week in beta, with the official launch scheduled for March 2024.
Since it is in beta, some features are currently missing, including Hulu's live TV.

Additionally, some titles available on the standalone Hulu app are not yet accessible from the Hulu hub in the Disney+ app. This includes Modern Family and Love Island, and the issue may persist in some form after the official launch in March 2024, according to Variety.
- "I hope consumers realize that one Bundle subscription — which is competitively priced — can unlock the incredible original content, the blockbuster films that come from all our studios, and a 100 years’ worth of stories from Disney+. Not to mention the amazing titles that come from Hulu Originals, FX, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight, and all of our amazing partners," Earley said.
