Amazon's voice system Alexa can now create AI-generated background on select Fire TV devices in the US.
First announced in September, Fire TV's new AI-based artwork generation tool called AI Art is rolling out between now and the end of January in "public preview" in the US to all users with compatible Fire TV devices.

With this new feature, which is part of the company's 'Ambient Experience', you can simply ask the Alexa voice assistant to create personal artwork for your TV screen.
Amazon explains that it is based on its Titan Image Generator model. It will create four initial images than can be further refined at the request of the user. You can then use them as a background on your TV display when you are not using it to watch movies, or save them to Amazon Photos.
Compatible devices
AI Art is folded into the Ambient Experience section, which is currently available only on the Fire TV Omni "QLED" LCD TVs and Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen) and only in the US.
Amazon did not comment on wider availability but did say last week at CES that Panasonic's new OLED Fire TV will also get the Ambient Experience when they launch in mid-2024 in Europe. It is not clear if Panasonic TVs will include the AI Art feature – we are following up.
