Beginning with Dune: Part Two, UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD titles are now available at all Fred Meyer stores as well as 170 GameStop stores and gamestop.com in North America.
While major US retailers such as Best Buy and Target are abandoning physical discs entirely or moving sales online, GameStop and Fred Meyer are embracing physical media.
A partnership between the two retail chains and Studio Distribution Services (SDS), which now handles the distribution of physical releases for Universal Pictures and Warner Bros, was announced this month.

The partnership covers the US and Canada, encompassing all 132 Fred Meyer grocery stores, starting with Dune: Part Two, as well as 170 GameStop stores and gamestop.com.
Select UHD Blu-ray titles are already available from gamestop.com including Dune: Part Two here. GameStop will also sell Blu-rays and DVDs in-store with dedicated video wall space.
A larger selection will be available online, although limited to Universal Pictures and Warner Bros releases. Studio Distribution Services also distributes some TV series on UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD.

Fred Meyer will have standing retail floor stand fixtures to feature both new releases, catalog titles, and anime.
- "SDS is thrilled to continue to champion the physical media industry and we are confident that our loyal consumers will be delighted by the opportunity to discover new release films at additional and convenient locations around the country," said Eddie Cunningham, president of Studio Distribution Services.
