Apple TV+ has this week confirmed new and returning series such as Severance, Silo, Slow Horses and Bad Monkey along with new movies such as Wolfs.
Two of the best sci-fi series today, Severance and Silo, are finally coming back for season 2 after delays caused by the Hollywood strike, and Apple TV+ gave us a sneak peek this week at WWDC 24.
In addition, the streaming service confirmed new seasons of Slow Horses, the British crime series starring Gary Oldman, Shrinking, the comedy series starring Harrison Ford and Jason Segel, and Pachinko, the saga based on the bestselling book.
New series and movies
New series highlighted in the sizzle reel from WWDC 24 include Dark Matter (sci-fi), which is already available, Presumed Innocent (crime), starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Lady in the Lake (drama), starring Natalie Portman, and Bad Monkey (drama), starring Vince Vaughn and created by Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Ted Lasso).
The upcoming movie line-up is spearheaded by Wolfs, a thriller starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney about two lone wolf fixers assigned to the same job. It will debut in cinemas before it hits Apple TV+.
Also highlighted were the new movies The Instigators, starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, and Fly Me To The Moon, a romantic comedy starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum.
The streaming service said that the announced series and movies are "coming soon," but exact timing was not confirmed. Both Foundation and For All Mankind have also been renewed but were not included in the sizzle reel, so they are not imminent.
Sometimes referred to as the new HBO, Apple TV+ is available for $10 / €10 / £9 monthly here.
