LG's M4, which is a version of the G4 with a wireless connection box, is rolling out now in major markets worldwide, the company has announced.
M4 succeeds last year's M3 as LG's "wireless" OLED TV. It still requires a connection to a power outlet but all other cables can be connected to the wireless connection box that LG has dubbed the Zero Connect Box – a clear reference to Samsung's One Connect box, which has a single cable running from the box to the TV.

LG believes that the wireless box will let "users enjoy the flexibility to arrange their living space however they want to" as part of an effort to rethink TV design.
M4 can be seen as a sort of spiritual successor to the W-series of LG's 'wallpaper' OLED, which has been discontinued. LG M4 competes with OLED TV models such as the Samsung S95D, Sony A95L, Panasonic Z95A and Philips OLED909.
MLA OLED in most size
Like G4, M4 features the second-generation MLA OLED panel with micro lenses for increased brightness, except the 97-inch version. The reason is that LG Display, the panel manufacturer, has yet to apply MLA to its largest OLED panel.
Another consequence of this is that the 97-inch M4 is limited to 4K 120Hz, while the 65, 77 and 83-inch models are now capable of 4K 144Hz over the wireless connection, which communicates over the relatively uncongested 60GHz wireless band with multi-path technology to ensure a stable connection up to 10 meters, according to LG. The maximum bandwidth is 30Gbps, so LG uses visually lossless compression – likely DSC.

M4 also features LG's new Alpha 11 processor. You can find full specifications and compare it to other LG models in our 2024 LG TV line-up overview.
LG said that M4 is "rolling out in major markets worldwide from July 1". The company has shared Euro pricing but did not announce US pricing. Unlike M3, M4 will be available in 65 inches.
