Disney-owned 20th Century Studios has released Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on VOD, with the UHD Blu-ray coming later. We compare prices and AV formats.
The fourth modern Planet of the Apes movie – and the tenth overall – is now available in North America, Europe and other regions, approximately 60 days after its theatrical premiere.
This is a regular VOD (Video-On-Demand) release at a standard price, unlike the early PVOD releases that come at a premium price, which are becoming more common for blockbusters.
Where to buy
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is available for VOD purchase starting at $20 / €14 / £10. The rental option is expected in August. The movie can be streamed in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos (DD+).

Coming later to Disney+
The Planet of the Apes franchise is produced by 20th Century Studios – formerly 20th Century Fox. The name changed to 20th Century Studios after Disney acquired the historic Hollywood studio.
The movie will be available on the Disney+ subscription streaming service at a later date, though Disney has not confirmed when. The nine previous Planet of the Apes movies are already available on Disney+ in most regions if you want to catch up before watching the new one.
The UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray discs will be released on August 27 in the US and September 9 in the UK. Note that the UHD Blu-ray disc will not include Dolby Vision.
