The smaller 65-inch version of Sony's 2024 flagship miniLED LCD TV, Bravia 9, is coming to Europe after all – though Europeans will have to wait until November or later.
We were surprised earlier this year when Sonyunveiled its 2024 TV line-up and reserved the smallest 65-inch version of Bravia 9 (XR90) for North America. As you may know, Americans generally tend to buy larger TVs than Europeans, so Sony's decision was difficult to understand.
Fortunately, Sony has reconsidered.
- "We have listened to customer and media feedback and are thrilled to expand the BRAVIA 9 range in Europe with an additional 65-inch screen size model in November," said Shoji Ohama, Head of HE Product Planning & Marketing, Sony Europe.
1500 miniLED dimming zones
The 65-inch model features the same video and audio technology as the larger 75- and 85-inch versions, but obviously with fewer miniLED dimming zones, around 1500, due to its smaller size.
