The new 55-inch 4K OLED TV from Sansui will be available from major retailers in the US starting at $799, significantly less than LG and Samsung's OLED models.
The TV is based on LG Display's WOLED panel so it should deliver excellent picture quality, provided the video processing is effective.
It features a 120Hz WOLED panel with 4K resolution, but it is likely not the new 2024 OLED panel with increased brightness. There was no mention of HDMI 2.1 ports either – full specifications have yet to be released. The TV supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and runs on Google TV.
Shakes up the OLED TV market
With OLED TVs from manufacturers such as LG and Samsung typically starting at $1200-1400, the launch of an $800 OLED TV could shake up the market, even if it has some limitations.
The Sansui OLED TV (model name S55VOUG) could also pose a serious challenge to "QLED" and miniLED LCD models. According to the company, it is the most affordable 55-inch 120Hz OLED TV on the market.

Sansui said that it will be available at major US retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Micro Center, BJ’s Wholesale Club and BrandsMart, starting this month, priced between $799 and $899.
