TCL launches QM7K miniLED LCD TVs in sizes up to 115"

10 Mar 2025 | Rasmus Larsen |

After launching the QM6K in January, TCL North America is now adding the QM7K to its 2025 line-up. It will be available in up to 115 inches with up to 2500 miniLED dimming zones.

TCL's new 7-series is expected to once again outperform more expensive miniLED models from the likes of LG and Samsung.

QM7K now features up to 2500 dimming zones and 3000 nits peak brightness, up from 1500 dimming zones and 2000 nits in last year's QM751G. It also features the new miniLED backlighting system unveiled at CES, but with improved microlenses for better backlight control.

Up to 115 inches

QM7K will be available in 55, 65, 75, 85, 98 and a massive 115-inch size. They will be equipped with a new 'Crystglow HVA panel' with improved anti-reflective coating, according to TCL. We are seeking confirmation on whether this is the WHVA LCD panel with wider viewing angles. Compared to QM6K, QM7K will also feature a more powerful speaker 2.2-channel system developed in partnership with Bang & Olufsen plus a backlit remote control and a built-in far-field microphone.

It still supports all the features we have come to expect from TCL including Dolby Vision and HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, HDMI 2.1 (two ports), Dolby Atmos, and a 144Hz LCD panel capable of running 288Hz VRR at half resolution. It is powered by TCL's own AI PQ Pro processor. With the launch of QM6K and QM7K, TCL cements its position as a leader in miniLED LCD ahead of the Japanese and South Koreans that are losing market shares in the premium TV segment. During an online briefing attended by FlatpanelsHD, TCL hinted that it will soon have more to say on the launch of a new flagship X11K featuring more than 10000 miniLED dimming zones.

Art Mode and Art Gallery

TCL recently launched its answer to Samsung's The Frame in the form of the Nxtframe TVs. These come with new Art Mode and Art Gallery features to show digital artwork from da Vinci, Van Gogh and other artists on the TV when not in use. TCL North America announced that these art features are also coming to its premium 2025 models including QM6K and QM7K. We are chasing details on how it has been implemented Like QM6K, QM7K still runs on Google TV with access to all of the popular streaming apps and built-in Google Cast. TCL's QM7K is available now in the US. See the table below for pricing details and full specifications.
