12 Mar 2025 | Rasmus Larsen |

Apple has shot Metallica's concert in Mexico City in its new 'immersive' format, offering the closest experience to being physically there. It will release March 14 on Apple Vision Pro.

- "Game changing is putting it lightly," said Lars Ulrich from Metallica. "Seeing our concert like that, along with the energy of the Mexico City fans — it’s very immersive, and it’s super fun. We’ve always been interested in pushing the boundaries, and Metallica on Apple Vision Pro is exactly that."

The concert features three iconic Metallica tracks: Whiplash, One and Enter Sandman.

180-degree 3D

The concert is made in Apple Immersive Video, which is the name of the new format that is supported only on the Apple Vision Pro headset.
