TCL Europe has unveiled its high-end TVs for 2025, featuring 7th generation miniLED with up to 14112 dimming zones and 6500 nits brightness.
The new LCD TVs employ the latest miniLED technology first announced at CES 2025 in January, detailed here. This includes a 23-bit controller for the miniLEDs, enabling TCL to control backlight gradation in 65,000 levels.
For comparison, Sony's flagship Bravia 9 has a 22-bit controller, but TCL is bringing the technology to significantly more affordable TVs.
According to TCL, the new miniLEDs are also more accurate, 10% more efficient, more uniform, up to 53% brighter, and have virtually no delay. In 2025, consumers can expect the first models with TCL's WHVA LCD panel, which offers wider viewing angles.
X11K, C9K, C8K, C7K and C6K
The flagship X11K, previously known as X11H, will feature some of the most advanced miniLED technology in an LCD TV to date, with up to 14122 dimming zones and 6500 nits brightness.
X11K will be available in 85 and 98 inches in select European markets.

Stepping down to the C9K, which will also be available only in select markets, it offers up to 5148 dimming zones and 6000 nits peak brightness.
The successor to last year's popular C855 will be known as C8K in Europe. Both C9K and C8K will feature TCL's new WHVA LCD panel with wider viewing angles. C8K will have up to 4000 dimming zones – almost double compared to its predecessor C855 – and up to 5000 nits peak brightness.

Like the high-end models, the more affordable C7K and C6K ranges also feature miniLED dimming zones (see TV Database for specifics) and 144Hz 4K panels, capable of running at 288Hz at half resolution. C7K will be available in sizes up to 115 inches, while C6K has a matte coating.
It is a strong line-up from TCL and based on price indications we expect them to once again undercut and outperform Samsung’s equivalent models, while reinforcing TCL's role as a leader in miniLED technology.
Audio by Bang & Olufsen
The more affordable models will continue to use speakers from Onkyo, but from the C7K and up the TVs will feature speaker systems up to 6.2.2 channels, designed in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen. They support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
This marks the next step in the Bang & Olufsen partnership after last year's launch of the TCL Nxtframe. The B&O technology includes BeoSonic, an on-screen user interface for sound customization.
The 2025 models all run Google TV with built-in Chromecast and access to both local and international streaming apps, including Apple TV, Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix and Max. Many models now also include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and Apple AirPlay.
TCL 2025 C-series are expected to launch in Europe starting in May. The company will also introduce new budget-friendly P-series models. FlatpanelsHD will post the full 2025 line-up once we have a complete overview. Until then, follow the link below to the TV Database for details and specifications.
