Samsung Display recently unveiled a new concept that tiles multiple "bezel-less" OLED panels to create larger screens – similar to microLED TVs.
Samsung Display has reduced the bezels on OLED and QD-OLED panels by 40%, bringing them down to just 0.6mm.
While a combined 1.2mm border (0.6mm per panel) is not entirely bezel-free and remains thicker than the microLED modules used for the ultra-expensive microLED TVs, it enables OLED panels to be tiled with relatively thin seams, as seen below.

- "Samsung Display has achieved a breakthrough in bezel-less technology by utilizing advanced design techniques to significantly reduce the width of outer bezel. This innovation results in a bezel that is 40% thinner on all sides compared to the average bezel width of products currently on the market, explained Samsung Display.
- "The OLED Tile consists of ten 6.8-inch bezel-less panels and two 31.5-inch monitors."
No launch plans yet
The 'OLED Tile' was first showcased as a concept at MWC 2025, however with no immediate launch plans.
As a display panel manufacturer, Samsung Display supplies its technology to TV and monitor makers, meaning it would be up to a consumer brand to bring a product to market.
In theory, the technology could be used in a similar way to microLED modules, but at a much lower cost, though further OLED bezel reductions would be necessary. Samsung Display noted that the thinner bezels could also benefit OLED displays in smartphones.
