Apple TV+ sets 2025 summer slate with 'Murderbot', 'The Studio', 'Fountain of Youth'

Sticking to its quality-over-quantity strategy, Apple TV+ has unveiled its summer lineup of new series and films, including some potential blockbuster hits. Sometimes dubbed the new HBO, Apple TV+ has built a reputation for high-quality and distinctive shows like Silo and Severance, while also exploring new formats such as immersive video. While Apple TV+ cannot match the breadth or mass appeal of Disney+ or especially Netflix, if you are not watching it yet, you are missing out on some of the best series made today. Apple TV+ is currently available for $3/month for the first 3 months.

Summer 2025 lineup

In a brief announcement accompanied by a new sizzle reel, Apple TV+ revealed its summer slate of new films and both returning and debuting series:

Your Friends & Neighbors (series)
Chief of War (series)
Slow Horses (season 5)
Stick (series)
Platonic (season 2)
Fountain of Youth (movie)

The Studio is already shaping up to be a hit, with the first four episodes available now. Your Friends & Neighbors premieres today, April 11, with the first episode streaming for free on YouTube (here) and the first two episodes available on Apple TV+.

After summer ends

Other new or returning series currently confirmed but without set release dates include Acapulco season 4, Firebug, For All Mankind season 5, Foundation season 3, Hijack season 2, Neuromancer, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2, Platonic season 2, Shrinking season 3, Silo season 3, Star City, Slow Horses season 6, Tehran season 3, Ted Lasso season 4, The Savant and Wycaro. Since these were not part of the official summer announcement, we expect them to premiere no earlier than this autumn.
