Since its launch, Disney+ has been available on most major platforms but missing from some smaller TV platforms. It is now coming to Whale OS.
Whale OS, previously known as Zeasn OS, powers TVs such as Philips models with Saphi OS as well as budget and mid-range TVs from brands like JVC, Sharp, RCA, Vestel, Aiwa and Telefunken.
In 2021, Disney+ expanded to 'powered by webOS' Smart TVs from brands other than LG, and in 2024, it arrived on Titan OS. Now, the Disney+ app is coming to Whale OS.
- "Disney+ is one of the top global streaming services with a massive fandom, and is requested a lot by our users," said Lucas Huang, VP Content Distribution at Whale TV.
Used in over 43 million TVs
The company behind Whale OS, Whale TV, said it has partnered with over 400 TV brands since 2011.
The operating system is currently used on 43.5 million active TVs worldwide, although the OS is often marketed under different names.
The Disney+ app will be available through the app store on Whale OS-powered TVs "soon", the company said.
