First haptic movie trailer
Apple has already talked a lot about its upcoming movie F1: The Movie starring Brad Pitt. The movie premieres in theaters on June 25 and will later come to Apple TV+.
This week, it released the first-ever “haptic” movie trailer. If you watch the trailer on an iPhone (with iOS 18.4 or newer), you will feel the Formula 1 car's engine through the iPhone's haptic engine – similar to controller haptics with game consoles. Try it yourself in the Apple TV app now.
If Apple can achieve greater success with its series and movies, the tech giant has many ways to leverage its technology to enhance the experience. The company is already experimenting with 180-degree 3D content.
