Samsung's new super-sized LCD TVs, the 100-inch QN80F and 115-inch QN90F, both feature miniLED technology, with QN90F offering more dimming zones. They are launching now.
As announced at CES 2025, Samsung is expanding its large-screen TV lineup to compete with Chinese brands like Hisense and TCL, the latter having gained a lead in the segment.
Samsung's 115-inch QN90F likely uses the same TCL CSOT panel as TCL's 115-inch X955 Max and QM7K, but with fewer miniLED dimming zones. The 100-inch QN80F is likely built on a BOE LCD panel from China.
- "Large screen TVs are the fastest growing segment in the industry. In fact, we’ve seen the 98”+ market grow by 148% since last year," said Lydia Cho, Head of Product for Home Entertainment, Samsung Electronics America. "That’s why Samsung is continuing to innovate and expand our super big lineup, offering more choices than ever before."
Starting at $6,000
Samsung's 100-inch QN80F is available in the US for $6,000 and will soon expand to more regions including Europe. We expect to see a significant price drop later this year, as Hisense's 100-inch model is already sold under $2,000.
Likewise, the 115-inch QN90F, priced at $27,000 in the US, is nearly double the cost of TCL's 115-inch QM7K and will soon be available in more regions.

115-inch TVs with 4K resolution
Samsung's 115-inch QN90F features an anti-glare screen coating and runs on the Tizen platform with access to gaming and streaming apps. It features 4K resolution, as Samsung continues to scale back its 8K strategy.
The same panel is used in Samsung's new 115-inch LCD TV with 'Micro RGB', otherwise known as RGB LED, which offers more dimming zones for around $30000.
