The company is expanding its lineup of OLED monitors with the G50SF, its most affordable OLED monitor to date.
Samsung's Odyssey G5 series has traditionally consisted of cheap LCD models, so the shift to OLED represents a significant upgrade in nearly every aspect due to OLED's extremely high contrast and pixel-level control of luminance and color.
The G50SF is equipped with a 27-inch QD-OLED panel with 1440p resolution, 0.03ms response time, up to 180Hz refresh rate and anti-glare coating. It supports HDR10 with 99% DCI-P3 color coverage.
Samsung's cheapest OLED yet
In 2025, we have seen several more affordable OLED monitors from brands like Dell as the market rapidly expands, driven by growing consumer demand for OLED in a space long dominated by LCD technology.

Samsung G50SF OLED monitor
The G50SF is first rolling out in markets such as New Zealand, Taiwan and China, priced at the equivalent of $570, $450 and $375, respectively. A wider international launch is expected soon – and we expect more affordable OLED monitors next year.
To achieve the lower price point, Samsung has opted for a less advanced QD-OLED panel. G50SF also lacks features like the Tizen Smart Hub and built-in speakers, and offers a simple design with only tilt adjustment. It still supports AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync via HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2.
The G50SF sits below Samsung's other OLED models such as the G9, G8 and G6.
