C6 and G6 OLED model names have appeared in a Korean database, but is LG really planning to reuse the exact same names as its 2016 OLED models?
As reported by DisplaySpecifications and Notebookcheck, the model codes "OLED55C6SNA" and "OLED55G6KNA" were recently listed in South Korea's product safety certification database.
The OLED models appeared alongside 2026 "QNED" LCD models such as 86QNED85B and 75QNED86B, where the final 'B' is believed to indicate a 2026 model (2025 QNED models ended in 'A'). These LCD listings seem genuine.
According to FlatpanelsHD's latest check, the QNED models are still present in the database, but the C6 and G6 OLED listings from september 18, 2025, have seemingly been removed.
Could be a confusing mess
While we feel confident in our own reporting about the 2026 Samsung S95H, S90H and S85H OLED models, we await confirmation before we are convinced about the LG situation.
It is worth noting that it is not unusual for old TVs models to get a change to their certification date. For example, one of LG's 2016 OLED model had its certification date changed to May 2022 in Korea's certification system.
If LG really does plan to use the B6, C6 and G6 names for its 2026 OLED TVs, it will cause a lot of confusion. Those were the exact model names the company used for its groundbreaking 2016 OLED TVs that introduced 4K HDR – and the last great 3D TVs. Plenty of reviews and forum posts reference them if you do a Google search.
Remember the 2016 LG B6 OLED? There was also a curved C6 OLED model in 2016
Reveal at CES 2026
Manufacturers should not recycle iconic model names. It would be comparable to Apple releasing a new iPhone X ten years after the original.
Until more solid information surfaces, we are holding off on definitive conclusions. LG is expected to unveil its full 2026 TV lineup – the successors to its 2025 B5, C5 and G5 – in January at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
