With LG Sound Suite, buyers can wirelessly connect Dolby Atmos speakers directly to the TV or through LG's new flagship soundbar for up to 3.1.7-channel Dolby Atmos.
Update: Confirmed US prices are $999 for H7, $599 for W7, $399 for M7 and $249 for M5.
Sonos still reigns supreme in wireless audio systems that can be expanded over time.
It is a formula other manufacturers have struggled to match, but Dolby has stepped in with its most serious challenger yet. With Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, speakers connect wirelessly for Atmos sound in movies and series, and the speakers can be placed more freely around the living room thanks to active room calibration.
- "Dolby and LG are unlocking a new level of audio flexibility for anyone who wants to enjoy better sound with Dolby Atmos," said John Couling, SVP of Entertainment at Dolby Labs. "Whether your speakers sit on a shelf or are tucked into a corner, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect fits naturally into any home without the complexity of traditional systems. We’re excited for consumers to experience this new level of audio flexibility and performance."

LG Sound Suite with Atmos FlexConnect
At CES 2026, LG has unveiled Sound Suite, which initially consists of a 3.1.2-channel soundbar (H7) with up-firing and side-firing units, the two compact speakers M5 (2.1.2) and M7 (4.1.2), and an 8" subwoofer (W7) that can stand upright or lie flat, delivering bass down to 25.9Hz.
These can be combined in different ways. For example, you can buy four M7 speakers and use them as front and rear channels connected directly to a 2026 LG OLED TV – replacing a soundbar, similar to Sony Theatre Quad (review). Or you can choose the W7 soundbar and two M5 speakers for any other TV setup from any brand. The system can be expanded over time.
LG H7 is the first soundbar with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. It is powered by LG's Alpha 11 Gen 3 processor, the same found in the 2026 OLED TVs. All speaker drivers are supplied by Danish company Peerless Audio.
TCL was first to bring Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to TVs and speakers. With Sound Suite, LG becomes the next heavyweight to adopt Dolby's latest technology.
Is there anything Dolby Atmos FlexConnect cannot do? Cross-connecting speakers from different brands remains unsupported, despite what was suggested during the 2023 presentation. So, like Sonos, you are still bound to a specific brand.

Up to 13.1.7-channel Dolby Atmos
LG said a Dolby Atmos setup with up to 13.1.7 channels can be built at this stage – 13 ear-level channels, 1 subwoofer and 7 height channels for overhead effects.
In practice, up to 4 speakers can be connected to the TV or soundbar, plus one subwoofer. LG highlighted that this is two more speakers than for Sonos, while also allowing more flexible placement through Dolby's auto-calibration. At this time, 27 possible configurations are possible.
Several 2026 LG TVs will include built-in Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, and an update will roll out to G5, C5, C5S and QNED9M models from 2025.

LG Sound Suite also works as a music system with AirPlay, Google Cast and Spotify Connect.
FlexConnect introduces some latency that can be compensated for when watching movies or series, but LG could not yet confirm whether it will be reduced in 2026 to make FlexConnect viable for console gaming
The products will launch in 2026, with pricing to be announced.
